Verification of the execution drawings and a vibration-comfort study for the steel-and-glass canopy of Les Halles.
The Canopy shelters two public-facility and retail buildings around a patio at the heart of Les Halles: 17 translucent louvres spanning up to 96 m, about 6,000 tonnes of steel and 14,000 m² of glazing, on a site crossed by more than 700,000 people a day. Vifatec checked the execution drawings (VISA phase) and studied vibration comfort and dynamic effects.
